Region of Southern Denmark
The Region of Southern Denmark (RSD) has 1.2 million inhabitants and four hospital units running 18 hospitals. The Region collaborates closely with 800 GPs, and the 22 municipalities that are responsible for preventative services, rehabilitation, and home care. All hospitals in RSD have implemented telemedicine services and the level of electronic communication is very high.
Azienda Sanitaria Locale Torino 3 (ASL TO3) - Italy
The Azienda Sanitaria Locale Torino 3 (ASLTO3 hereinafter) is one of the 13 public health territorial agencies located in Piedmont, a North-West region of Italy with 4,500,000 inhabitants. ASLTO3 manages public health services for a 600,000 people catchment area. Public Health Agencies like ASL TO3 are organised in specialist departments. Among these, the Mental Health Department manages and treats all psychiatric outpatient and inpatient facilities. ASL TO3 Mental Health Department (DSM hereinafter) includes 11 outpatients facilities, three inpatients psychiatric emergency hospital wards, two daily treatment centres, and many residential facilities (supported houses) where more than 200 patients are living for long periods in small groups (4/5 people each). Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA) - Spain
Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA) is an integrated private health and social care organisation with entirely public capital that manages the Hospital Municipal de Badalona, the Homecare Integrated service, the Socio Health Centre El Carme, 7 Primary Care Centres, and the Centre for Sexual and Reproductive Health. It provides care to a total population of 419,797 inhabitants in a very populated suburban area of Barcelona. BSA has a special characteristic that distinguishes it from all the rest of the healthcare providers in Catalonia, which is that it also provides the social care services for the region of Badalona and three other towns surrounding it, thus implementing an innovated integrated social and health care model centred in the person.

European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD) - Germany
The European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD; www.eaad.eu) is an international network of experts with the aim to promote better care of patients with depression as well as to prevent suicidal behaviour by initiating regional community-based 4-level-intervention programs in Europe. It has been co-funded within the EC Public Health Programme until 2008. Since 2008, it is established as an independent research association. More than 100 regional alliances against depression have already been implemented in and outside of Europe. Fondation FondaMental - France
The Fondation FondaMental (www.fondation-fondamental.org) was created in 2007 as a “foundation de cooperation scientifique” by the French Ministry of Research. This foundation gathers a nation-wide network of more than 70 research labs and 30 university hospitals to (1) improve diagnosis and prevention of severe psychiatric disorders, (2) galvanize research in psychiatry and (3) improve education and reduce stigma. Fondation FondaMental has created and coordinates a French comprehensive set of 43 Expert Centers, all equipped with dedicated e-medical file for patients with major psychiatric disorders (i.e., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, treatment-resistant depression, autism spectrum disorder).
